From Youthful Ideals to Soulful Ones
Daylong Workshop
In our culture, women are taught there are two options to growing older:
​
1) Cling desperately to youthful ideas of beauty and desire, and fight aging at every turn.
​
2) Turn off our sensual, beautiful, desiring natures and leave that part of ourselves behind forever.
​
​
These two soul-wounding choices reflect two archetypes, both stunted in our culture, both mirroring our human dilemma:
​
Aphrodite and the Crone.
​
Aphrodite is often deemed a superficial, materialistic goddess, not worth our time or consideration. Even in many "spiritual" circles. But this is due to our own inability as a society to mature in this area. What if she were to mature? Who would she be with a more soulful idea of beauty, sensuality and sexuality?
​
On the other side of the coin is our image of The Crone as completely sexless - wise but osteoporotic and certainly not sensual. What if we could imagine a crone who is both sage and erotic, soft and sensual, but powerful all the same?
​
What if you didn't have to choose either of these stifling, un-empowered options?
What if you could be free from these limiting beliefs?
What if you could learn to see your beauty with soft, soulful eyes? Not just through the eyes of the patriarchal critic, who sees the parts and misses the whole?
What if you could tap into a deep, ageless sensuality and aliveness?

No matter if you are in your 30s, struggling with messages around beauty, or in your 80s, wanting to reclaim your beauty and sensual nature:
it is never too late, nor too early, to listen to your own soul's wisdom.

Becoming more conscious of the critic / hyper masculine - that picks you apart one body part at a time. As well as the voices around that influence this way of seeing and how to have more choice in how you respond.

Becoming more aware of when you are possessed by the critic versus how it feels to be in your whole soulful self, and how to move there more freely.

Learning to use vulnerability & softness as a doorway to soulful beauty and sensuality.

Tenderly, but bravely accepting the realities of aging and beauty in this day and age, and how it does affect us.
​

Allowing space to grieve the changes in our bodies. We are not given space to do this in our culture, yet it is vital if we are to heal and find new ways of being.
​

How to use life's pain and suffering to open to more beauty, sensuality & erotic energy.
